#252: Influencers Are Recruiting Young Retail Workers for Christmas Work Via Social Media Apps. Here’s Why You Should Be Concerned!
Manage episode 456283136 series 3003707
Hi There,
In this week’s episode, we look at the worrying trend of young workers being recruited by influencer-led free lance agencies, as freelance workers. A freelance worker is more likely to be self employed, rather than an agency worker – and the impact of a freelance worker employment status on the employment protections of young workers, is less likely to be understood by young workers.
It's our view, that the more you are able to acquaint yourself with your employment rights in this area, the more your rights will act as an early warning system, which you can use to spot bad treatment or illegal treatment that you may be suffering at work.
