The death of George Floyd, during the summer of 2020, sparked and in some cases reignited the conversation about diversity. Dr. Leonard Badger, DDS, FAGD, DICOI, and Taylor Jackson are two advocates on the topic of diversity. Both discuss their opinions, experiences insights on diversity including suggestions on how to become an ally.
Dr. Badger is a valued consultant, faculty member, and speaker for Align Technologies, the manufacturer of Invisalign® clear aligners. He is a highly respected national and international dental speaker and lecturer on numerous topics highlighted by advanced dental techniques, communication, and emerging technologies.
Taylor Jackson is a graduate of Fisk University, from the rolling hills of Georgia. She is currently a 3rd-year dental student at Meharry Medical College. Ms. Jackson hosts and produces The Occlusal Table Podcast with her two classmates. The podcast first launched in August of 2019 and has since then uplifted the mission to Empower, Educate and Elevate underrepresented oral healthcare professionals through entertainment.
