United Methodists are people who are methodical about their process. To be the church, we have to make decisions about living in this world. We have a process for that. We use what is refered to as the Wesleyan Quadrilateral. As our Book of Disciple states, " [John] Wesley believed that the living core of the Christian faith was revealed in Scripture, illumined by tradition, vivified in personal experience, and confirmed by reason.”
