The Ancient Song. Soil and rain, sun and wind built beetle and worm and seed. Beetle and worm and seed built bird. Bird moves throat with air and sends out these sound waves. Our ears take them in, indelibly marking our minds with the ancient song. The ancient song that we have known through all time. The song of Earth that reminds us that we are Earth and one day these bodies will lie down and become Earth again with these sounds imprinted into them. Returning to Earth to be reborn as a new song.
