‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer. Each person’s story is a gift; unique and is told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. Please subscribe to the Podcast and leave a review so that the show becomes more visible to listeners. In this episode I talk to Becky Gray who is a Wife. Mum, Physio, and all-round action woman. Becky tells me about her symptoms before being diagnosed with High Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer diagnosis and the subsequent chemotherapy and surgery that followed. Becky’s diagnosis caused a relapse in her mental health which she has endured for most of her life. Since recording the Podcast Becky has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder which has been very hard for her and her family to cope with. Becky was trying to remember a song for her signature tune. It was Elbow, “One day like this”. As this episode is released, Becky has been diagnosed with a recurrence of Ovarian Cancer, so on behalf of us all I wish her the very best outcome as she faces further treatment. * update* Becky sadly died on 15 October 2023. Becky mentioned the following organisations in this episode: Ovacome which can be found here: https://www.ovacome.org.uk Cyclists fighting cancer which can be found here: https://www.cyclistsfc.org.uk Can Rehab which can be found here: https://www.canrehab.com To connect with Becky her social media accounts are: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/becksg47 Facebook page is Becky Gray (Gilliam) Instagram is beckswim_cancerfit73 Twitter is @RGPhysioPilates Thank you so much for listening to ‘Living with Ovarian Cancer’. Disclaimer: Each story in this Podcast is unique to the woman who is telling it. The content of each episode and the views expressed are not meant to be a substitute for medical advice or intervention. You will hear stories of women who sought alternative therapies, integrated oncology services or even choosing to decline treatment options. However, this is their story, and I am not advocating that you follow the path of any one woman who features in the podcast. If you have a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer, please make sure that you discuss anything that is going to affect your treatment or wellbeing with your own Medical team. You are unique and so what’s right for one woman may not be right for you!
