2013 was a big year for Jade Wilcoxson. In her first year as a professional Wilsconson stunned many with her second place finish at the U.S Cyclcross Nationals. She went on to win the U.S. Road Race Championships, and then went on to win the Individual Pursuit title at the U.S Track Championships.
Wilcoxson will again be riding for Optum Health Pro Cycling in 2014, and is currently riding for the U.S National team in Europe. Wilcoxson talks about how she started racing, what it's like to be a team leader, and how she juggles life as and entrepreneur, she is the founder of Pure Clean Powder, and professional cyclist.
We also play the entirety of our interview with mental training coach Dr. Kristin Keim. Keim recently finished her dissertaion on athletes with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI's) and has been working with professional athletes mental approach to their sport for the past several years. Keim discusses some of the best practices and pitfalls to help develop a strong mental game for your cycling season.
