For this month's episode of the Our Sam Talking out Loud podcast series, we have partnered with national charity ARC (Antenatal Resources and Choices) to discuss the difficult subject of Termination For Medical Reasons (TFMR). This month we have Our Sam Independent Expert Advisory Panel member, and Neonatologist at Newcastle NHS Trust, Professor Nick Embleton picking up the reins from Philippa, as guest presenter, to discuss TFMR with ARC Chief Executive Jane Fisher, Psychologist and Researcher from The University of West London Professor Caroline Lafarge, along with Hayley Manning, podcaster and writer, and Laura Gray, ARC Volunteer, to discuss their personal experiences of TFMR and how they have gone on to support others.
In part 1 of this special focus episode, Nick introduces the difficult subject of TFMR with Jane Fisher, Chief Executive of ARC, before going on to discuss with Professor Caroline Lafarge, Psychologist and Researcher at University of West London, her research and current pilot studies taking place, to enable greater support to help women find coping strategies following TFMR.
