Some ingredients used to make eye creams can ironically irritate the skin around your eyes. Turn the bottle around to the back ingredient list and make sure there are not aggressive irritants in it!

The first ingredient you should avoid is fragrance. Your eyes don’t need to smell nice, so why buy an eye product with ‘parfum’ in the ingredient list i.e a cocktail of synthetics normally. Even natural fragrances have multiple allergens. There is no need for your eye lids to take the brunt of these when they are more sensitive than everywhere else. Remember, whenever you read the word fragrance on any skincare bottle understand that there are many, many ingredients concealed by it). In order to avoid irritated eyes go for fragrance free eye creams.
