Leroy Moore: Black Kripple Delivers Poetry & Lyrics
Manage episode 157263308 series 1216007
Leroy Moore is a superstar disability justice activist and hip hop artist from the SF Bay Area and also, was a guest on the inaugural episode of Intersections Radio! Since then, he’s published a memoir in the form of poetry and lyrics – and it’s been making waves! So when I had a spontaneous trip to the Bay, of course we had to meet up in person and geek out further.
We met up at the Golden Lotus restaurant in downtown Oakland to talk about his book, Black Kripple Delivers Poetry & Lyrics, the #BlackLivesMatter movement and how nonprofits and grant efforts actually hinder activism.
