Michael Sargood is a 39-year-old communications manager for a London local authority. He is 9 months sober from alcohol after Detox and Rehab. In his spare time, he runs alcohol-free social events in his hometown of Southend-on-Sea and tries to inspire and encourage others on their alcohol-free journey through his HappyWithoutTheHooch Instagram and Facebook accounts. He lives with his foster cats. He loves live music, reading, writing, sea kayaking and has recently taken up improvised comedy and performance poetry.
