Social media platforms can be a powerful and transformative tool to help market and grow your business. Social media can also be a destructive tool when used directly as the consumer, ranging from endless time-wasting to negative views of others and your own self-worth.

The key is recognizing how to use it to help grow your business while also recognizing how it can suck you in when you consume it.

I created a rule for myself to always use social media, don't let it use me. Over the past month I ignored that rule and found myself in a place I didn't want to be as I became one of those consumers of social media.
