In this episode, we are in conversation with Annu Grover, founder & CEO of Nurturing Green. Annu is responsible for democratizing plant parenting, landscaping, and gardening as a hobby in India. Gardening and plant buying were fragmented markets. Buyer experience was broken, delivery times were askew, and decisions were a hail mary at best. There was a need for standardization—of experience but also the mindset. What ensues in this podcast is the birth of a new way of life among people.
His vision and the road to it were fraught with bankruptcy and health scares. However, in battling the odds stacked against him, Annu emerged wiser and stronger. His fundamentals and insights on consumer behavior put him in a unique position to design new categories and business models and weather stormy seas to not only bail his brand out of bankruptcy but also scale it to lofty heights.
