Charisse Beach, M.ED., a former principal at an alternative school for at-risk students, faced an unexpected challenge at home: her own son, Oliver, attempted to take her life during a psychotic blackout caused by his untreated bipolar disorder. Now, Charisse aims to raise awareness among parents about early signs and patterns that were overlooked, starting when Oliver was just five years old. Her urgent message resonates with every parent: our children may be misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all, leading to dire consequences. Through her nonprofit organization, Youth Transformational Services, Charisse empowers youth to make positive lifestyle choices. Listen closely; her story could save lives.
