Good morning, New York City! Let's dive into today's chilly forecast that'll have you reaching for those extra layers.
We're looking at a crisp winter day with sunny skies, but don't let that sunshine fool you. Temperatures are going to be downright frigid! We're expecting a high near 25 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill making it feel like a brisk 5 to 15 degrees. Those northwest winds are going to be whipping around at 8 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts up to 23 miles per hour - so bundle up, folks!
Tonight, we're keeping it cool with clear skies and a low around 18 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chill will hover between 10 and 15 degrees, so keep that winter gear handy.
Looking ahead, Monday will be a slight improvement with sunny skies and a high near 32 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your hats, because Monday night brings a 30 percent chance of snow after 1 am, with temperatures dropping to around 29 degrees Fahrenheit.
Tuesday gets interesting with a 40 percent chance of snow in the morning, then gradually clearing to mostly sunny skies with a high near 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
The rest of the week looks mild for winter, with temperatures climbing to the high 30s and low 40s, mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions.
