Good morning, folks! Ready to dive into the weather report for Washington DC? Let's get started.
Today, we're looking at scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day, followed by more showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 pm. It will start off cloudy but gradually become mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 99°F. Heat index values could reach as high as 109°F, so stay cool out there. Expect light south winds increasing to 6 to 11 miles per hour in the morning, with gusts as high as 18 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before 9 pm. It will be mostly cloudy with a low around 76°F. Winds will shift from west to south, ranging from 6 to 8 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation remains at 60%.
Moving on to Saturday, we have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast before 2 pm, then showers becoming more likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 pm and 5 pm.
