Randal Lyons is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, shamanic practitioner, addiction recovery expert, and author. He was born and raised in New York, studied Chinese Medicine and Core Shamanism in California, and now lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, with his wife and two charismatic Siamese cats. He is also 29+ years sober and prior to that, his “field work” in the area of drugs, music, and mayhem led him to holistic medicine. Decades ago, it helped him. Now, he uses it to help others. As a health professional with a holistic, shamanic edge, he works with individual clients as well as in Western hospitals and clinics, world-class addiction treatment centers, and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. He offers a principle-based, proven-effective online addiction recovery program, as well as a regular podcast, all under the name of his new business, The Sober Shaman.
