A few days after it was announced that an LRA commander, Dominic #Ongwen, surrendered to the American special forces, a faction of #Seleka rebels who were in power in the Central African Republic are now claiming that they captured and handed the Ugandan rebel leader to the Americans. They said they were disappointed that the Americans did not publicly recognise their role in the arrest of Dominic Ongwen. Mounir Ahamat, a Seleka commander in the North West of the CAR, explains the conditions of Ongwen's arrest. Mounir Ahamat also said he was was hoping the money that was promised for the arrest of the #LRA commander would be given to them.…

Shiwezwa is the debut album from singer-songwriter Namvula Rennie, and it's causing some excitement. Born in Zambia of mixed Zambian-Scottish parents, Namvula means 'mother of rain.' Her great-great-great grandmother, after whom she was named, was a priestess of rain and the album's title, Shiwezwa, the Zambian village that she came from. Although Shiwezwa references Zambian folk music, it is also fused with urban music and elements of Scottish folk, jazz and Latin. A Sunday Times review said Shiwezwa is a contender for debut album of the year, and The Guardian called her a true original. Namvula has been talking to BBC Africa's Jenny Horrocks.…
