Welcome to another episode of The Homestretch w/Adrian Durant, where we meet and have conversations with some of the most inspiring and elite athletes, coaches and sports personalities. Today we have with us on the show Rudy Winkler, a track and field athlete who competes in the hammer throw and has competed in two consecutive Olympic Games i.e. 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. Rudy is the American record holder for the hammer throw and he was also the hammer national champion in 2016 and 2020, winning the 2016 and 2020 United States Olympic Trials.
In this interview with Olympian Rudy Winkler, he talks about his journey so for as a professional athlete. He shares how his time at Cornell University was like and playing for Cornell Big Red track team. Rudy also shares his experience of the recently happened, 2020 Tokyo Olympics and his plans for the future.
