Ben Mansell is not anyone you know, but he's someone I know very well. In fact, one of my earliest memories is of him on the playground of our primary school, his eyes greedily devouring the manual for his favourite game, Doom. In the 20-something years since, very little has changed. In the final episode of Season One, Unlimited Hyperbole investigates Ben's belief that Doom is a literally perfect game, his efforts to share it with the people he loves and the perceived fall of ID Software. Unlimited Hyperbole is a weekly podcast about videogames and the stories we tell about them.
